I consider myself to be a high-caliber foodie and can do some magic in the kitchen. I love to cook and have always wanted to get a garlic press to be able to extract all of the flavors out of both garlic and ginger. This is a great product and does exactly what it was made to do. I made spaghetti last night and used this press for the garlic in my sauce and also for my garlic bread. There is a whole new taste you get when you press garlic and different from any other garlic products you can buy (i.e. minced garlic in a jar and garlic powder). Before, I was a mincer and round slicer because I prefer fresh garlic cloves, rather than jar garlic or the powder. Although getting the surprise of whole pieces of garlic in your dish can be nice, sometimes it isn't when the piece is too big. With this press, you get all the flavor of the garlic and none of those pieces.
